Dr. Razia Jayman-Aristide, MD, MS-HPPL, FACP, is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine, Lifestyle Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Menopause Care (MSCP). She holds a Master of Science in Health Professions Pedagogy and Leadership from Hofstra University, a Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor's in Biology with Honors from Stony Brook University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital and was a research fellow at Northwell Health under the Empire Clinical Investigator Program.
Dr. Jayman-Aristide currently serves as the Director of Patient Care Services at the Suffolk County Department of Health and is also Director of Primary Care and Women?s Health at Coastal MD, where she provides clinical care and leadership in primary care, hormone therapy, weight loss, and menopause management. She previously served as Chief Medical Officer and Primary Care Physician at NY Health, leading a large, multidisciplinary practice. She has also held long-term roles at Northwell Health, where she was an attending physician and held leadership positions in medical education, including Co-Director of Ambulatory Clerkships and Associate Program Director for Internal Medicine Residency.
Her academic appointments include Assistant Professor of Medicine and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell from 2013 to 2022. Dr. Jayman-Aristide has held several leadership roles with the American College of Physicians and various hospital committees, including founding the Community Health Ambassadors and the Women?s Initiative at Northwell. She has also served on multiple planning, wellness, education, and safety committees.
She has contributed extensively to teaching, training, and mentorship through lectures, board reviews, curriculum development, and mentorship programs. She is a peer reviewer for academic journals and conferences and has presented at regional and national meetings. Her honors include the 2024 Laureate Award by the ACP, multiple teaching awards, and recognition for her contributions to patient care and women's empowerment. She also received a $350,000 grant as part of a funded research project on perceived stress and over-the-counter sleep aid use. Dr. Jayman-Aristide remains an active voice in women?s health and education, continuing to mentor and inspire through lectures, podcasts, and health advocacy platforms.
