Innovating Neurodegeneration Therapy: A Multidisciplinary Path to Future Pharmaceutics
Neurodegenerative diseases represent one of the most urgent challenges in modern medicine, with rising global prevalence and limited therapeutic options. Traditional approaches often fail to modify disease progression, highlighting the need for disruptive strategies in drug discovery and delivery. This presentation offers a multidisciplinary review of the evolving landscape of pharmaceutics in the context of neurodegeneration. Integrating insights from neurobiology, pharmacology, artificial intelligence, and phytotherapy, we explore emerging therapeutic targets such as oxidative stress modulation, neuroinflammation, and protein misfolding. Emphasis is placed on innovative drug delivery systems—like nanocarriers and intranasal routes—as well as AI-driven molecular modeling and the repositioning of natural compounds with neuroprotective potential. This forward-looking perspective aligns with the future of pharmaceutics: personalized, precise, and proactive. By bridging conventional drug development with novel interdisciplinary tools, we can reshape the treatment paradigm for neurodegenerative diseases and contribute meaningfully to next-generation drug innovations.
