Prof. (Dr.) Pratap Chand Mali is a distinguished academician and researcher currently serving as Professor in the Department of Zoology at the Centre for Advanced Studies, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Born on September 9, 1969, he holds an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Zoology, with his doctoral research focused on the antifertility effects of xerophytic plants in male albino rats. His academic and research expertise lies in reproductive biology, physiology, and the use of natural products for fertility regulation. Prof. Mali has made significant contributions to the field, authoring over 140 peer-reviewed publications and leading major research projects funded by the UGC, DST, and MHRD under RUSA 2.0. His research has garnered over 600 citations, with an h-index of 12 and an i10-index of 16. He is widely recognized for his pioneering work in herbal contraception and nanotechnology in healthcare and has received several honors including the Asia-Pacific Council on Contraception Award (2008), the Best Citizen of India Award (2010), and the Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule Samman (2023). He has been listed among the World?s Top 2% Scientists in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
