Biography
I am a Sierra Leonean environmental and marine science professional with extensive experience in project implementation, academia, and research. Currently, I serve as a lecturer at the Institute of Marine Science and Oceanography at the University of Sierra Leone. My work involves teaching, conducting research, and providing consultancy services in the areas of environment and blue economy, with a focus of integrating gender into Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Blue Economy, Governance, and Resilience at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana and hold a second M.Sc. in Global Environment and Sustainability from Birkbeck, University of London. My expertise spans from climate change and marine environmental hazards, Marine coastal development and biodiversity and gender and fisheries I am passionate about contributing to the sustainable development of Sierra Leone and addressing its environmental challenges.

The impacts of marine litter on ecosystems
Abstract
I am a chemical Waste Manager, for over 15 years, I have been involving in impact of hazardous chemical waste/Air pollution on Environment and Health.
SLCPs (Short-Life Climate Pollutants) expert, Senegal National coordinator for Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), UNEP initiative projects.
(SLCPs) expert, I am responsible for supporting the
review of technical deliverables from CCAC projects in Senegal, providing support to government in the collection of SLCPs data that are relevant for SLCPs policy processes (Ex: methane roadmaps, Organic Waste, NDCs), as well as developing SLCPs technical and capacity development material.
As Africa Regional Facilitator I am coordinating and facilitating the engagement of the Major Groups and Stakeholders and the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA) and its processes.
I am presenting the region's agreed-upon positions at regional and global meetings and processes on plastic pollution in reference to Resolution 5/14 of the United Nations Environment Assembly with the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment.
