Nujud Senan is a quantum computing specialist with a Master’s in Quantum Information and Computing from KFUPM. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Saudi Quantum Technology Association, driving quantum research and commercialization in line with Saudi Vision 2030. She collaborates with government, academic, and industry stakeholders, and promotes public awareness through events like World Quantum Day. Previously, she participated in the T5 Program by SDAIA, gaining expertise in AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, with hands-on projects in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and MLOps.

The Middle East is emerging as a significant player in the global quantum technology race through strategic research investments and industry collaboration. Countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar have established dedicated quantum research facilities and innovation hubs, promoting quantum computing, cryptography, and sensing advancements. By forming partnerships with international institutions and tech companies, the region is accelerating knowledge transfer and capacity building. Significant funding is directed toward academic and private sector quantum initiatives, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. Additionally, through international conferences and multinational collaborations, the Middle East actively participates in shaping global quantum technology standards, policy, and security.
