Biography

Dr. Megha Rathi is an Assistant Professor (Senior Grade) in the Department of Computer Science at Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, India, with over fifteen years of teaching and research experience. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Banasthali University and has worked on projects at the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Delhi, and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. Her research expertise spans sustainable computing, data science analytics, health informatics, and machine learning. She has pioneered AI-powered frameworks for personalized healthcare, disease prediction, and sustainability, and has published extensively in SCIE- and Scopus-indexed journals. Dr. Rathi has also organized special sessions at international conferences and delivered invited talks on AI, data science, and sustainable innovation.

The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science is driving transformative changes across industries, from healthcare and environmental monitoring to precision agriculture and urban planning. This talk explores AI?s evolving role in developing sustainable, human-centric solutions that address real-world challenges. It will highlight advanced AI models, explainable AI frameworks, and data-driven decision-making approaches that ensure transparency, fairness, and adaptability. Using examples from healthcare analytics, smart city frameworks, and climate impact assessment, the session will outline strategies to harness large-scale, heterogeneous datasets for actionable insights. The presentation will also touch on integrating edge AI, generative AI, and ethical governance to design robust, scalable, and socially responsible AI systems that can shape the future of sustainable development.
