Laser Treatment of Femele Stress Urinary Incontinence: Combined Intraurethral and Vaginal Laser
Female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is quite common and considered as a public health problem because it affects the quality of life of our patients. the objective of this pilot study is to determine the efficacy and safety of noninvasive solutions for SUI treatment as erbium laser energy device in 28 patients. I combine two treatments a session incontilase and intraurethralase for 3 sessions with 4 weeks interval in between.
Therapeutic efficacy was assessed by a questionnaire addressing quality of life during urinary incontinence and the 1-h pad test, was measured at 3 and 6 months after the procedure. More controlled study must be done to confirm this data and to see the long-term effect of the laser to treat SUI
