Dr. Makhzoum is a university professor and researcher in educational and administrative sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Sciences from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. Additionally, she has three master's degrees in educational administration, Financial Management, and Business Administration. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Management Department at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the Islamic University in Lebanon. She is also the Director of the Arab Democratic Institute in Lebanon.
Furthermore, Dr. Makhzoum is the Editor-in-Chief of the "Indicator Journal of Survey Studies" and the representative of the Turkish National Institute of Social and Economic Sciences in Lebanon and the Middle East. She is a board member of the Lebanese Innovators Association. Dr. Makhzoum has chaired several international scientific conferences in Berlin, Turkey, and Lebanon. She has numerous scientific research publications in both educational and administrative fields in reputable international journals. She was awarded the Change Makers Award in 2021 and named Best Teacher of the Year in 2023, along with several awards for Best Paper Presentation at international conferences.
