Biography

Jihong Hu, born in November 1976, is a distinguished professor with a doctorate in Epidemiology and Health Statistics from Peking Union Medical College. She has an extensive academic background in Preventive Medicine, having earned both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Ningxia Medical University.

Throughout her career, she has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named a Dual Leader of Higher Education Institutions in Gansu Province (2020), a Flying Apsaras Scholar Special-Term Professor (2022), and a Leading Talent in Gansu Province (2023). Her research has earned multiple awards, including the Gansu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Huangfu Mi Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Awards.

Dr. Hu's research focuses on preventive medicine, epidemiology, and public health, with significant contributions to chronic disease prevention, environmental health, and traditional Chinese medicine. She has led multiple national and provincial research projects, particularly in cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and microbiota-related health conditions.

She has published extensively in high-impact journals, contributing to studies on hypertension, cardiovascular disease, air pollution, and gut microbiota. Many of her studies explore the intersection of traditional Chinese medicine and modern epidemiological methods.
