Abstract
Educational Leadership as a Catalyst for Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Programs:
Educational leadership is considered a cornerstone in promoting public health within communities, through the design and implementation of effective educational programs that contribute to raising awareness and encouraging early cancer screening. This research aims to explore the role of educational leadership in various educational institutions, such as schools, universities, and educational health institutions, and how this leadership can contribute to building a community culture aware of the risks of cancer and the importance of early diagnosis. The research is based on a descriptive and analytical approach that relies on the study and analysis of a group of previous studies conducted during the year 2025/2026 on successful health education awareness programs, focusing on three main elements: transformational leadership, strategic planning, and building effective community partnerships.
The results obtained through the analysis show that effective educational leadership plays a pivotal role in increasing participation rates in early cancer screening campaigns. Schools, universities, and educational health institutions can significantly contribute to raising awareness and promoting early screening behaviors. This type of leadership also contributes to the development of integrated educational curricula with preventive health, which leads to promoting the concept of cancer prevention through the application of innovative educational strategies. On the other hand, the results emphasize the importance of collaboration between the education and health sectors in enhancing the effectiveness of these programs and their widespread implementation.
The study recommends integrating health leadership skills into educational leadership development programs, as these skills are essential for enhancing educational leaders' ability to implement effective health awareness programs. It also recommends adopting innovative educational strategies that focus on promoting preventive behaviors among individuals, contributing to building a healthy and informed society capable of addressing health challenges related to cancer.
