Abstract

Building Autonomous AI Agent Ecosystems for Drug Discovery: Lessons from Enterprise Cloud Architecture The pharmaceutical industry stands at a crossroads where traditional drug discovery processes?taking 10-15 years and costing billions?meet the transformative potential of agentic AI systems. In this talk, I'll share how enterprise software engineering principles and cloud-native architectures can revolutionize drug discovery through orchestrated autonomous AI agents. Drawing from my experience architecting large-scale enterprise systems that process millions of transactions and implementing agentic AI workflows in production environments, I'll demonstrate how multi-agent systems can fundamentally change how pharmaceutical organizations approach drug discovery. We'll explore how specialized AI agents?each with distinct responsibilities from molecular screening to toxicity prediction?can work collaboratively through event-driven architectures, much like microservices in modern enterprise applications.
