Media Discourse of Modern Life-Style Media Regarding the Development and Extensive Use of AI?
The paper emphasizes the changing paradigm from <
> to <>. Basic users are highly interested in the forthcoming opportunities that AI has brought forward. Speaking about Russian segment of Internet on the basis of the WordStat Analysis there are over 6 mln search requests including the word combination ?neural network? per month.
On the other hand we have a widely spread and highly popular media segment of life-style. If we consider the historic part of the journalism we will remember that it was the aim of this segment to enlighten the readers in the sphere of culture, modern technology, everyday life, shape the way of living, the taste for life, help make modern image and live modern life at its full span. Obviously, life-style journalism has to serve readers to explore the advantages and disadvantages, risk scenarios or potential problems with AI use.
In the paper the author dwells upon the point that modern life-style media unfortunately doesn?t go far behind describing entertaining potential of AI. In the focus of the research there were one of the prominent life-style magazines GQ (it British and Latin American versions). Whereas such sensitive questions as AI ethics, security and other essential issues are far too important to think of.
