Abstract
"AI and Cybersecurity: Staying Safe in the Intelligent Machine Age"
Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the way we live and work, but it is also reshaping the way criminals operate online. Today, cyberattacks are no longer limited to simple scams or viruses?AI is being used to create fake identities, generate convincing deepfakes, and run large-scale frauds with alarming speed and precision. This session will look at both sides of the coin: how AI is being misused to launch smarter cyberattacks, and how the same technology can help us build stronger defenses. We will discuss real examples of AI-powered threats like synthetic identities, deepfake scams, and automated phishing, and then explore how machine learning can detect unusual behavior, stop fraud in real time, and protect sensitive data. The goal is to give participants a clear picture of the risks, the tools available to fight them, and the importance of ethical responsibility as we step into the Intelligent Machine Age.
