Abstract

As artificial intelligence continues to redefine the boundaries of innovation, the importance of data governance in shaping secure, ethical, and trustworthy AI systems has never been more critical. This keynote will explore the foundational role of data governance in governing intelligent systems—ensuring data quality, compliance, transparency, and accountability at every stage of the AI lifecycle. From bias mitigation to regulatory alignment, we will discuss practical strategies and real-world use cases that highlight how strong data governance frameworks can safeguard AI from risks related to data privacy, security breaches, and ethical failures. Attendees will gain insights into building responsible AI infrastructures, aligning AI development with emerging global standards, and embedding governance into automated pipelines. As we stand at the convergence of intelligent computing and cybersecurity, this session aims to empower researchers, practitioners, and policymakers with the tools and mindset needed to govern intelligence—ethically, securely, and sustainably.
