Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is redefining the frontiers of forecasting across the financial services ecosystem. From credit risk assessment and stock market prediction to customer behaviour analytics and fraud detection, AI models, especially those driven by machine learning, deep learning, and large language models, have demonstrated unprecedented accuracy and adaptability. This talk explores the evolving role of AI in financial forecasting, emphasizing how fintech institutions are leveraging predictive algorithms to drive strategic decision-making, optimize operations, and personalize financial products. Through real-world case studies and recent research insights, the session highlights the practical integration of AI into forecasting pipelines, the benefits it offers over traditional statistical models, and the challenges?such as data bias, model interpretability, and regulatory compliance?that come with it. We will also discuss future trajectories, including the role of generative AI and multimodal forecasting models, and how these innovations are shaping the FinTech landscape leading up to 2025 and beyond. The key term ?forecasting capacity? is a pivot in this study.
