Abstract

Leveraging Geospatial Innovation for the Sustainability of Environmental and Biodiversity
Geospatial Innovation, Encompassing Technologies like GIS and Remote Sensing, is Crucial for Environmental Sustainability and Biodiversity Conservation by enabling accurate data collection, analysis, and informed decision-making for resource management, habitat protection, and disaster preparedness. Geospatial technologies support the pursuit of the sustainability of environmental and biodiversity by providing accurate information for informed decision-making, boosting environmental protection efforts and promoting equitable economic growth. This session are discussing how the geospatial technology plays roles in two aspects which are environmental monitoring and analysis of biodiversity. In environmental monitoring, discussion are includes Tracking Environmental Changes; Assessing Carbon Footprints; and Mapping and Monitoring Ecosystems, meanwhile in analysis of biodiversity will includes Identifying Biodiversity Hotspots; Habitat Mapping; Wildlife Tracking; Protected Area Design; and Species Distribution Modeling. Geospatial technology is essential for acquiring, analysing and interpreting geographical and temporal data as related to environmental monitoring and analysis of biodiversity. Precise real-time data analysis is vital for planning and policymaking to design strategies that align with the Sustainable Development Goals. In the end of session, challenging and strategic issues will discuss specifically in the current technology advancements.
